The Gondwana geology plays an important role on the geological evolution of Indian subcontinent and its interrelationship with its erstwhile continental neighbours. Thus the current perspectives and emerging issues in Gondwana evolution is a subject of continuing research. An International conference was organised at BSIP, Lucknow, India which was followed by a field workshop in the Gondwana sections of Central India. The conference was partiipated by several Gondwana Geologists. A close study of various sections were made during the field visit.
